BEYOND THE TEXTILE BORDER.

A new vision for the true meaning of “upcycling”.

Sustainability stems from the memory of the ancestral relationship between us and the Planet and the deep respect for it. Every day we look towards achieving the best quality and the most extraordinary performance, only if this great word that is ‘innovation’ also leads us to the best relationship with the Earth, animals, and man.

The cycle starts again

Nature, the starting point for a new textile milestone.

Fermentation is the process of transforming organic material into a different substance by microorganisms. This ancient and natural process is traditionally used in the production of wine, yoghurt and bread. The potential is so vast that scientists have explored and set new boundaries in the use of this technique for food, health and cosmetics industries.

FiberPro: what if fermentation would allow us to produce textile fibres?

FiberPro is the result of a collaboration between Marzotto and Spiber Inc. thanks to a new process allowing textile fibres to be produced from sugar.

1

Brewed ProteinTM polymer is produced from raw ingredients, the certified Bonsucro sugar.

2

Microorganisms, designed by Spiber Inc., transform sugar into the polymer Brewed ProteinTM, the primary component from which textile fibres are created.

3

Brewed Protein fibre is produced by extracting Brewed ProteinTM polymers through nozzles. This process allows different types of fibre to be produced for a wide range of purposes, while preserving the highest quality standards.

4

The resulting fibre, which is completely biodegradable, is skillfully blended by Marzotto with the finest wools to obtain innovative yarns and fabrics with exceptional characteristics.

REDUCTION OF THE ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT ON EARTH

RIDUZIONE DELLE EMISSIONI DI GAS SERRA
MINOR CONSUMO DI ACQUA
RIDUZIONE DELL’IMPATTO AMBIENTALE SULLA TERRA

FOR MARZOTTO, SUSTAINABILITY IS AN EQUATION.

Environmental Impact = Innovation + Integrity
