During the filming of the video she welcomed us into her home, allowing us the luxury of taking a look into her world: enchanting, hospitable and colourful. 3 Adjectives that describe your workThe adjectives to describe my work are: beautiful, pleasant and precise. 3 Adjectives that describe your passionPainting is colourful, creative and expressive. How long have you worked at Marzotto?I have been working at Marzotto since 17 May 1994. What at Marzotto gives you the most energy and why?AI love the work I do, and I have managed to establish a good working relationship and friendship with my colleagues. In addition, I am very satisfied with what I have learned over these 26 years while working in a renowned company like Marzotto. What does your job involve? My job (quality control) consists of examining the fabric that’s just been woven on the loom to identify and report any defects or imperfections to the shift manager, so we can intervene promptly and repairs can be made by the operators or loom technicians. How long have you been painting? How did your passion start?Since I was a little girl: at school my teacher used to tell me off because I was always drawing. Then, when I was 16, I started to paint on canvas for the first time, and the more I did, the more I perfected my technique and learnt how to give the right shade and light to my paintings. What aspects of your passion (painting) can you put into practice when at work? What aspects do your work and your passion have in common?Precision: I have to study the fabric that I’m working on carefully in order to understand the design and to identify the type of defect in the piece. In addition to precision, both in my work and my passion, I find beauty in the colours and the movement of the patterns. What is the inspiration for your paintings?Nature offers us infinite ideas for painting. I love to dwell on details and panoramas, in particular the wide expanses. I find inspiration especially when walking. Next stories Simone Pianalto Read now
